CLASS 1 BRC AREA 5 MIXED 70cm Team and Individual Qualifier Test: BE90 Dressage 91 (2009) SJ: 70cm XC: 70cm Speed: 420mpm Open to senior and juniors, teams may be any combination of seniors and/or juniors, the best three scores to count. Riders not to have completed a BE 90 or BRC HT 90 or above in the current competition year at close of prelim entry. Riders may not compete at 90 or above in the same qualifier or Championship. Horses may be registered with BE but must not have any BE points. Not to have completed a BE 90 or above in the current or previous calendar year. Horses may have up to 10 BE foundation points. Riders who have competed under FEI rules in the relevant discipline at 3* or above in last 5 years not allowed.

Horses may be registered with BE but must not have any BE points. Not to have completed a BE 100 or above in the 12 months before pre entry. Riders who have competed under FEI rules in the relevant discipline at 2* or above in last 5 years not allowed

Class 7BRC AREA 5 MIXED 100cm Team and Individual Qualifier Test: BE100 Dressage 101 (2009) SJ: 100cm XC: 100cm Speed: 475mpm A mixed class open to senior and junior teams and individuals, teams may be any combination of seniors and/or juniors, the best three scores to count. No limit on BE points. Riders who have competed under FEI rules in the relevant discipline at 4* or above in last 5 years not allowed
Class 8OPEN Unaffiliated 100cm One Day Event Test: BE100 Dressage 101 (2009) SJ: 100cm XC: 100cm Speed: 475mpm Open to non-members. No restrictions

Important Information

Rules & Condition of Entry  

This competition will run under British Riding Club Rules 2025. It is important that all competitors are aware of the rules relating to this competition – please see the current BRC Rule Book and also the BRC Rule Amendments and Changes Document which can be found at the link below:  https://www.bhs.org.uk/british-riding-clubs/brc-handbook/

All horses and ponies MUST be five years old and above. 

Hats

 

All hats must have a visible PINK BRC hat tag in place before they are used for warming up and competing, to show that it meets the current safety standards. There will be a trained official available on the day to do this for you if your hat does not currently have one. HATS must be worn whenever mounted and conform to the current hat rules.

 

Body Protectors

 

A body protector must be worn and must have a BETA blue 2018 label or after. Hybrid Air-Jackets and air jackets incorporated into a blouson style jacket are permitted. Please see the current 2024 BRC Rule Book for further information.

ALL COMPETITORS MUST PRESENT THEIR BACK PROTECTORS TO THE STEWARD FOR CHECKING BEFORE COMPETING

 

Whips

 

One whip is permitted and MUST be between 45cm and 75cm and must not be weighted or with a hard point at the end. The end of the whip must be padded. The ‘pad’ must be smooth with no protrusion or raised surface (which includes embroidery) and be made of a shock absorbing material throughout its circumference.

Vaccinations                Your horse must have up to date influenza vaccinations in line with the current BRC

Rulebook.  All horses competing in this competition must have their annual vaccinations but must NOT have been vaccinated within 7 days prior to the competition.  All horses must be entered under the name as per their passport (no stable names), and passports must be available on request prior to the competition.

   
Microchips

 

All horses MUST be microchipped and MUST be able to provide the correct microchip number held within the horse’s passport.
Insurance

 

All BRC Riding Club members are covered by third party insurance. Anyone attending the event who is NOT a riding club member must have their own Third-Party Insurance.
Health & Safety

 

The Organisers for this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For measures to be effective, everyone MUST take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all Officials and Stewards.
Dogs

 

All dogs must be kept on a SHORT lead and under control at all times.
Liability Although every care will be taken, neither the organisers nor any person acting on their behalf or the Landowners can accept any liability for the loss, damage, accident or injury to persons, horses or property.
